I am a private citizen who runs this personal, non-commercial blog. Like most sites, I set cookies; here is what happens on my site, while Jetpack and Automattic further explains what they use cookies for. No cookies, tackers, or other scripts will be used for ad-related purposes as this is an ad-free blog.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on my blog, I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address to deter and prevent spam from appearing on my blog.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Your comment will also checked through spam detection to filter unwanted and commercial content.
If you leave something, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Cookies

If you leave a comment here, you will use cookies. These are for not for your convenience; they are to help me cut down on spam, prevent trolling, and keep comments civil. These cookies are a combination of first- and third-party technologies.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles and other parts of this blog may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from other websites that may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, especially if you have an account and are logged in to that website. I am not responsible for any of their shenanigans, nor will I do anything to stop them from loading anything onto your device because I am not that tech-savvy.
Who I share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Otherwise, I don’t share any data I may have about you with anyone, for any purpose, unless legally obligated to do so.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments or sent me an email, you can request to what I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I delete such stuff. This does not include any data I keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
